Quite simply, we know of no other private chalet in the 3 valleys with the same charm and space as our mountain home at the end of the village of Le Villard in Meribel-les Allues.
No other chalet is set in its own secluded orchards, with views across 13 villages and settlements, stretching across the Bozel valley towards the Vanoise national park and the magnificent Grande Bec Mountain rising 3400m to the east.
Winter snow piles deep in the gardens, the seasons come and go, and the only external sound is the morning’s bird song. Many of our guests put skiing in second place within days of arriving, just to enjoy the peace and comfort of the chalet.
In spring, summer and autumn, whilst deer graze in the meadows, we laze around at the Jacuzzi, on one of the sun-decks or on the garden swings, and just occasionally, we put boots on for a hike in the woodland trails where the forest meets our garden.
Chalet Iona feels a thousand miles from the stress of real life but only a 4-minute drive from the Olympic Express telecabine taking you to heart of the world’s largest ski area.
Chalet Iona sleeps 12 (plus two infants) and combined with Chalets India and William can accommodate a maximum of 22 guests. All stays are provided fully all inclusive of meals, drinks and dedicated 24hr chalet staff. Welcome to Chalet Iona!

The property is, in fact, 3 buildings, set in its own orchard and surrounded by meadows and forest.
The main chalet sleeps 12 guests in its 2 master rooms and 4 twin or double guest rooms, each with its own distinctive style and an individual bath or shower room.
Unique features include an open-plan 700 square foot breakfast and dining room, with ceiling-to-floor east-facing panoramic windows, and a 20ft handmade oak banqueting table which dines up to 22, a suspended fireplace and a sofa corner with a 42in flatscreen TV.
Guests also have access to 3 barbeque areas and sundecks, a badminton court, a Jacuzzi, garden swings, a hidden wine cellar and a treehouse.

Considered to have the finest views in the Valley, . Le Villard (1200m) sits above Les Allues on a sunny balcony, with its pastures and meadows overlooking the Bozel valley. it lies on the edge of the Foret des Allues, a rich and diverse mountain forest maintained by the National Forests Office..
The village is now one of the choice areas to live for those who work in the valley, and its properties have long been reserved only for “those in the know”
Need more space?
Next door is the “Maison des amis”, a picture-postcard cottage, with gorgeous morning views and south and east facing balconies, sleeping families or groups of 4-6 people.
The little chalet India provides ultra-comfortable extra accommodation for large groups, whilst giving intimacy for those who stay (Ideal for the parents in law!).
